Your Brevard Lawyer, Jennefer Ann Fallat, Esquire is a seasoned trial attorney with experience as an Assistant State Attorney, a Public Defender, Attorney General, defense attorney and civil litigator with 17 years of Trial Experience. Having grown up in Brevard County, she was pleased to start her own firm, where she can give her clients the personalized attention her experience since 1997 has taught her. She is at home in a courtroom completing over 70 Jury Trials, in County, Civil, and Federal Courtrooms.
Ms. Fallat assists people in all area of the law, including financial distress when bankruptcy is not an option. For example, she defends against bank foreclosures and fighting credit card litigation. She also represents clients with criminal defense matters, family court, probate matters, traffic and other law suits. An experienced trial attorney, she helps small business clients protect their business interests and preserve financial solvency. Ms. Fallat also drafts a variety of legal documents, such as non-compete agreements for business owners and lease agreements for private landlords, to help clients avoid litigation. Ms. Fallat was the lead trial attorney at Daley Law’s general practice section after serving as an Assistant Public Defender with the Eighteenth Judicial Circuit, in Viera, Florida, and managing a small general practice in Melbourne, Florida.
Previously an associate with Keller Rohrback L.L.P., a nationally renowned firm based in Seattle, Washington, Ms. Fallat spent almost nine years focused on commercial litigation and complex litigation during which she handled prominent national cases involving multi-million dollar claims. She personally oversaw a settlement fund distribution valued in billions of dollars. Assigned to the firm’s complex litigation division, Ms. Fallat concentrated on class action cases in the areas of securities, ERISA (Employee Retirement Income Security Act), antitrust, consumer production and product liability. Of note, she helped settle and manage litigation outcomes for such high-profile cases as the Exxon Valdez Oil Spill, Worldcom ERISA litigation, Household Bank ERISA litigation, as well as the Senor Felix Gourmet Mexican Foods case following an outbreak of shigellosis associated with the consumption of tainted products. She also was entrusted with business litigation and representation matters.
Earlier in her career, Ms. Fallat had been assigned to the Antitrust Division of the Office of the Attorney General of Florida and represented the State in litigation cases and civil investigative demands. She was an Assistant Public Defender with the Ninth Judicial Circuit, Orlando, FL. Ms. Fallat has also served as an Assistant State Attorney with the Eighteenth Judicial District Court.A member of Phi Alpha Delta law fraternity, Ms. Fallat earned a juris doctorate with honors at the University of Iowa College of Law, where she served as associate editor of the Iowa Law Review; a member of the Trial Advocacy Board; assistant director/editor of The Counselor newsletter; recipient of a Public Interest Law Memorial Grant and member of the Organization for Women Law Students.During law school, her community service activities ranged from providing pro-bono assistance as a victim advocate through H.E.L.P. Legal Assistance, and serving as a prosecuting legal intern trying cases at the Johnson County Attorney’s Office, in Iowa City, Iowa. She also worked at a Davenport Legal Aid Office assisting with civil matters before returning to Florida to work as an Assistant State Attorney here in Brevard County.
In 1994, at the young age of 19, Ms. Fallat had earned three baccalaureate degrees cum laude with majors in political science, international affairs, and psychology, including a minor in history from Florida State University. Ms. Fallat earned her associate of arts degree with honors in 1992, awarded by Brevard Community College a few hours before she graduated from Rockledge High School on the same night.
A resident of Melbourne, FL, she is an active mother of three young children, participates in a number of Autism support groups, and spends most of her free time enjoying a good read (legal and otherwise).
